Complete Dentures
A complete denture is a removable dental prosthesis that replaces the entire dentition and associated structures of the maxillae or mandible. Conventional complete dentures can be life changing if fabricated correctly. Thorough evaluation of the remaining soft and hard tissues can aid in using all the available surfaces for retention, stability and support of the complete denture. Multiple impressions are required and a teeth try in appointment is necessary to evaluate esthetics and phonetics.
Complete Dentures require the following appointments for fabrication:
Planning, primary impressions
Secondary impressions
Try-in of denture teeth, verifying esthetics and phonetics
Delivery
Sore spot adjsustments when necessary
Partial Dentures
A partial denture is a removable dental prosthesis that replaces part of the dentition and associated structures of the maxillae or mandible. These kind of prosthesis can be attached to teeth, to gums, to dental implants, or the combination of any of these. Dental implants can add extra retention and stability to the prosthesis. Our specialist can plan for these restoration with the greatest confidence.
Partial Dentures require the following appointments for fabrication:
Planning, primary digital scan impressions (3 week turnaround)
Frame try in
Tooth try in
Delivery
Sore spot adjsustments when necessary
Denture relines
Older, ill-fitting dentures might need an occasional reline to adapt to the changed gum levels, heights. Usually a 2-3 appointment procedure starting with a series of reline impressions and delivery at the end. Adjsutments might be needed after delivery of the relined denture.

Guidlines for denture maintenance
1. Dentures should be cleaned daily by soaking and brushing with an effective, nonabrasive denture cleanser. (Soap/ water/ tooth brush/ denture tablets)
2. Dentures should be removed overnight each day. This allows the tissues to breathe and prevent infections from occurring to the tissues. Dentures should be stored in water when not in the oral cavity, to avoid warping.
3. Denture cleansers should ONLY be used to clean dentures outside of the mouth.
4. Dentures should always be thoroughly rinsed after soaking and brushing with denture-cleansing solutions prior to reinsertion into the oral cavity. Always follow the product usage instructions
5. Dentures should never be placed in boiling water.
6. Dentures should not be soaked in bleach, or in products containing sodium hypochlorite, for periods that exceed 10 minutes. Placement of dentures in sodium hypochlorite solutions for periods longer than 10 minutes may damage dentures.
7. Denture adhesives, when properly used, can improve the retention and stability of dentures and help seal out the accumulation of food particles beneath the dentures. (Always make sure to scrub out denture adhesive)
